Mississippi River Fun & Boating Safety

Fun on the Mississippi River and Boating Safety go hand in hand. The following Boating Safety Courses may be useful whether you adventure on the Mississippi River or other rivers, lakes or oceans.

United States Power Squadron
USPS squadrons contribute to boating safety by offering local public boating safety classes several times each year. Local squadrons offer boating safety courses on a regular basis to boaters. These courses are open to the public and there is no age limit for participants. Successfully completing a USPS boating safety course meets the educational requirements for boat operation in all states and is a requirement for squadron membership. In a cooperative program with the US Coast Guard Auxiliary, squadron members conduct courtesy Vessel Safety Checks of boats at the request of their owners. To learn more about this program, and how to get your boat checked, go to United States Power Squadron.Cruise thru your boating adventure with boating safety classes behind you.
